Anna Bjorlin

Anna Mae "Sis" Bjorlin (nee Telega, Seczko), 80, of Westberg Rd, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Edgewood Vista. She was born on October 10, 1931 in Duluth to John S. & Anna I. (Tarakowski) Telega. She attended St. Peter & Paul parochial grade school, Lincoln Jr High, Denfeld High School. Sis married Leonard Seczko on October 18, 1952 in Duluth and they lived in Ann Arbor, MI from 1953 to 1956 during his military service, after which they moved back to Duluth. They had 3 children, Judy, Gene, & Terry. Sis married Bob Bjorlin on August 10, 1978 in Duluth. Sis dearly loved her husband Bob, her children, and her grandchildren, and loved attending their sporting events as well as their music & dance recitals. She was also a fan of the Twins & Vikings, along with her husband Bob. Sis loved her flowers & gardening, and created extensive beautiful flower gardens in her yard every year. She was devoted to her faith, and was a longtime member of St. Lawrence parish, where for over 20 years she assisted with caring for altar plants and the flowers on the grounds. Sis was also active with her church's weekly care for residents at Viewcrest nursing home, where she brought homemade cookies and assisted with Communion distribution. Sis was a stay at home mom, always there to support and love her family, and express her interest in their daily activities. Her gentle, caring spirit and good humor continued throughout her final years on her journey with Alzheimer's, and her family extends a special thank you to her kind and attentive caregivers at Edgewood Vista. She will be greatly missed by her family & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Leonard Seczko; a son, Terry Seczko; brothers, Eugene and Robert Telega; infant sisters, Genevieve & Gertrude Telega. She is survived by her husband, Robert Bjorlin; daughter, Judy (David) Hon of Reedsburg, WI; son, Eugene "Gene" (Cathy) Seczko of Breezy Point, MN; stepchildren, Scott (Cyndi) Bjorlin, Mark (Kathy) Bjorlin, and Stephanie Carlson all of Minneapolis; a brother, David Telega of Duluth; sisters-in-law, Ann Telega, Dorothy "Dodo" Telega, and Esther Berntsen all of Duluth; brothers-in-Law, Marv Bjorlin of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, May 18, 2012 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church. 2410 Morris Thomas Rd. Fr William Fider officiating.
