Bernice E. Gelineau, 89, of Faith Haven, formerly of Smithville, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Eligius Health Center. She was born in Duluth on October 6, 1925 to Elmer and Mable Kovsky. Bernice attended Morgan Park High School and married Eugene Gelineau in Moose Lake, MN in 1952. Bernice was a homemaker, raising her five children. Bernice was a member of Norton Park United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; sister, Edith Welshinger; stepbrother, Boyd Trygstad; stepmother, Camilla Kovsky; two grandchildren, Elise and Matthew Walczynski. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Jim) Walczynski, Jody (Bob) Curtis, Steve (Edie) Tom (Debby Beck), Dave (Jodi) all of Duluth; five grandchildren, Ann Walczynski, Mike (Andrea Trader) Curtis, Tim (Jessie) Curtis, Jake Gelineau and Carly Gelineau; two great-grandchildren, Holly and Elliot Curtis. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Eligius for the wonderful care provided to Bernice for the last month of her life. Visitation 10 until the 11 a.m. memorial service Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Norton Park United Methodist Church, 436 North 79th Ave West. Rev Gary Gottfried officiating. Burial in Oneota Cemetery.
