Bette (Boettcher) Juusola, 81, of Floodwood, passed away peacefully June 25th with family by her side. Bette was born on April 30, 1936 in Grand Rapids, MN to Floyd and Dorothy Boettcher. Bette graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1954. She owned and operated Larson’s Cafe, worked for the Floodwood Police Department, and Matt Inc. She was one of the founders of the Floodwood Catfish Festival, served as a St. Louis County election judge, a member of the VFW Auxiliary and an active member of the community. Bette is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil; infant daughter, Vickie; and son, Steven. Bette is survived by three daughters, Linda (Bill) Broking of Grand Rapids, Cheryl Juusola (Tim Randall) of Cotton, and Susan (Kerry) Heine of Floodwood. 10 grandchildren, Bobby Johnson, Christina Struzik, Billie Jo Stokke, Amanda Miller, Shanen Johnson, Vickie Jensen, Patrick Broking, Andrew Juusola, Angel Dahl and A'livia Juusola. 16 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Thompson of Floodwood; a brother, Floyd (Marilyn) Boettcher of Florida. Many nieces, nephews and countless friends. Celebration of Life on “Pill” Friday June 30th 11am-2pm at the Event Center in Floodwood, 201 West 7th Ave. Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
