Bonnie Iverson, 93, of Duluth, died Thursday, June 13, 2024 in the Solvay Hospice House surrounded by family. She was born on May 9, 1931 in Duluth to Arnold and Elvina (Sund) Boman. Bonnie attended Denfeld High School and married Clifford Iverson in 1950. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church and was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Bonnie worked at Hong Kong Café, Minnesota Woolen, Gustafson Bakery, Glass Block Bakery and as the cleaner at the Masonic Lodge in the west end. She was a member of the All American Club, Proctor Moose, VFW and the American Legion. She enjoyed shopping, visiting the casino, playing cards and baking Christmas cookies. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Paul) Poppenberg of Duluth; sons, Clifford (Nancy) of Lutsen, Craig of Duluth and Chris (Theresa) of Proctor; a sister, Pat Fredrick of Duluth; a sister-in-law, Joyce Effinger of Duluth; grandchildren, Kristina, Amelia, Hilja, Cassie, Amanda, Kaja, Jason and Andrew; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Solvay Hospice House for the wonderful care they provided.
Visitation 10 am until the 11 am funeral service Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Pastor Henry Noordzy officiating. Burial in Bethany Cemetery.
