Carol Jean Ciurleo

Carol Jean Ciurleo age 80 passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024. She was born in Duluth on August 14, 1943 to parents, Robert & Agnes (Anderson) Bartig. Carol was a graduate of Denfeld High School and stayed in Duluth most of her life. She worked as a utility bookkeeper for the City of Hermantown for 25 years. Family was the most important thing to her, spending most of her time enjoying her children and grandchildren.  When she took time for herself, she enjoyed doing craft projects and reading.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Diane Bruley. Carol is survived by her children, Mary (Jeff) Bender, Chris Ciurleo, and Liz (Brent) Radosevich; grandchildren, Collin Magnuson & Lauren (Luke) Distad, Austin Kittelson, Jake, Ryn, Alyssa & Nick Radosevich; great-granddaughter, Ava Magnuson; brother, David (Mimi) Bartig; former husband and father of her children, John Ciurleo; and many extended family and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. in Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home 3208 W 3rd Street, Duluth, MN 55806.
