Carol Dahlen

Carol A. Dahlen, age 91, Duluth, died January 10,2017 at Viewcrest Health Center. She was born in Duluth on November 10, 1925 to Einar and Nellie Johnson and was a 1943 graduate of Duluth Central High School. Carol married Richard W. Dahlen in Duluth on February 7, 1953. She started work as an operator for NW Bell, a switchboard operator and receptionist at Coolerator Co., switchboard operator at Glass Block downtown and retired in 1990 as an operator for NW Bell ATT. Carol was a Red Cross and hospital Volunteer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Lynda Christensen, grandson Brian Harnell, granddaughter Tammy Adams and great-granddaughter JayAnne Connor. Carol is survived by her children, Cindy Dahlen, Renee(Richard)Dahlen Piwon, Mark(Rita Sipes)Dahlen, Barbara(Ronald)Dahlen Malecki, Richard W.(Nancy)Dahlen, Jr., son in law Richard Christensen, 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation 5PM until the 6PM Funeral Service Friday January 13, 2017, at Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home. Burial at Oneota Cemetery.
