Claudia Marie Woollweever, 80, of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Edgewood in Hermantown, MN. Claudia was born September 18, 1939, in Duluth, MN to Remi and Angeline Depre. Claudia graduated from Washington High School in Portland Oregon. On November 9, 1957, she married Gerald Woollweever. Claudia worked at Glass Block/Yonkers and retired after 26 years. Following her retirement, she went to work at Engwall Florist and volunteered at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s in the gift shop. Claudia was an avid reader and loved to dabble in all sorts of crafts. She was involved in the Women’s Auxiliary at the All American Club; was a member of the Red Hat Society and served in many positions at Faith Haven apartments where she resided for many years. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, infant child and great-granddaughter. Claudia is survived by her children, Kim (Al) Schilla of Blaine, MN, Tom (Wanda) Woollweever of Fargo, ND, Wanda (Don) Bozovsky of Hibbing, MN, Kelly (Dale) Gangelhoff of Rochester, MN, Patti (Mike) Kurki of Superior, WI, Kristi (Kevin) Cruikshank of Goodyear, AZ; grandchildren, Erin (Jared), Katy (Ben), Amanda, Jack, Allison, Marie, Alex (JC), Andrew, Kayla, Cody, Nate, Alexis and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Ava, Amara, Colton and Myla. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11: 00 a.m, Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W 3rd Street, Duluth, MN with Rev. Fr. Elias Gieske as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family burial will be at Calvary Cemetery-Duluth. Masks will be required and social distancing guidelines per the Diocese of Duluth.
