Delores Gordon

Delores Mae Gordon, 80, of Lenox Apartments, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on April 29, 1933 to Toivo and Geneva Merila in Washburn, Wisconsin. Delores was a homemaker, raising her eight children. She was a member of Duluth Gospel Tabernacle. she was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Allan Larson; siblings, Dorothy Elliason, Kathy Johnson, Richard Merila and George Merila. She is survived by her children, Jeff Larson of Duluth, Dale (Sherry) Larson of Sturgeon Lake, MN, Randy Larson of Duluth, Sandy (Rick) Ollah of Duluth, Diane Mattson of Elk River, MN, Jacqueline Gordon of Hermantown, MN and Laurie (Ted) Davidson of Duluth; siblings, Ray Merila of Duluth, Jack Merila of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Nancy (Lowell) Swanson of Thief River Falls, MN and Alma McEwen of Duluth; sister-in-law, Chris Merila of Washburn, WI; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 West Superior St. Pastor Rolf Fure officiating.
