Donald Byron Lehman

Donald Byron Lehman, 77, of Superior, WI, died Sunday, January 19, 2025 in St. Luke’s Hospital with his wife by his side. Don was born on December 30, 1947 in Duluth to Byron and June Lehman. He graduated from Duluth Central High School and attended UMD and served in the Army from 1968 to 1971. Don worked as a CPA, a IRS Field Agent and retired as owner and operator of Birchtree Computer Systems of Superior, WI. He married Marilyn Lockwood in 1980 in Duluth. Don was an active chess player in the Superior Chess Club and a tournament director. Don and Marilyn would spend summers in the BWCA, camping and canoeing and also spending time in the Apostle Islands as lighthouse keepers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Don is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two children, William and Amber; a sister, Susan Bodine of Duluth; a brother, Jeff (Marylouise) Lehman of AZ; many nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025 in the Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Burial at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery-Duluth at a later date.
