Donna Rae Wipson, 73, of Duluth, went home to her Savior on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Edgewood Caring Edge in Hermantown. Donna was born Donna Rae Ware on September 16, 1946 in Superior, Wisconsin and grew up in Duluth Minnesota, graduating from Duluth Central High School. After marriage, she moved to California where she lived for 25 years. She moved back to Duluth in 1989 after her husband passed away. She was very proud of her work in California at the Optimists Boys Home as a Mentor. In Duluth, she worked for Minnesota Power, the Duluth Credit Bureau, and Customer Link. Donna was blessed to be able to attend her granddaughter Jenna’s wedding in Las Vegas to Nate Soule November 2019 and spend time with her grandchildren, Jenna (Nate) Soule, Jake Weise, and Dillon Weise, as well as her son-in-law, Scott Weise. She had a very special bond with her Granddaughter Jenna. Donna will lovingly be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Charles “Chuck” and her children, Charles “Lenny” Wipson Jr. and her daughter, Valarie Weise. She will be sadly missed by all that loved her, especially her sister, Crystal (Ward) Soderlund; nephews, Isaac (Michelle) Soderlund, Aaron (Laura) Soderlund; a niece, Caitlyn Rae Dehler as well as six very special grandnieces and one special grandnephew. Services will be held at a later date due to COVID-19. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Edgewood and Caring Edge for the care and love they showed Donna.
