Douglas Dunsmoor

Douglas E Dunsmoor passed away at St. Mary's on Friday Nov, 8, 2013. He was born July 10, 1927 in Rice Lake Wisconsin. He grew up in Fond du lac and attended Morgan Park High School. He was a veteran, having served in the Navy on board destroyers during World War II.

He married the love of his life, Betty Cismoski on Sept, 1, 1951, having 62 wonderful years together. He worked for US Steel in Morgan Park as a Locomotive Engineer until the plant eventually closed. He then finished over a 30 year career with US Steel at Minntac in Virginia.

Doug's greatest joy was spending time with his family at the cabin he built for them on Wilson Lake in Cotton, Mn.

He was predeceased by his father Sylvester and mother Gertrude, sisters Shirley Behm and Patricia Puhl. He is survived by his wife Betty Mae, brother Robert Dunsmoor, Champlin, Mn and sister Betty Jo Little, Duluth, daughter Barbara (John) Christensen, Duluth, sons Doug (Karen) Superior WI and Bill (Dee Anna)St. Cloud MN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michelle (Eric ) Calendine, Ben (Christina) Christensen, Dana (Ben) Geving, Joe(Hastings) Dunsmoor, Matt (Tracy) Dunsmoor, Brooke Dunsmoor, Hailey Dunsmoor and Luke Dunsmoor, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tues Nov. 12, 2013 at St. James Church at 11:00 am. Visitation will be in hour prior to service
