Edward Simon

Edward Gerald Simon of Duluth MN slipped away peacefully at home on January 13, 2016. He loved camping in the BWCA, dog sled races (especially the Iditarod), chess, reading American western history, astronomy. He loved the outdoors, forever planting trees, and activities with his grandchildren. He had a heart of gold and was there to help those in need and yet would love to tease to see how others would react. He worked for MP&L for 31 years before an early retirement. He will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents Howard & Marion Simon. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Phyllis Simon, son Edward J. (Brenda) Simon, grandchildren Edward Lee Simon, Kimberly Ann Simon. Visitation on Thursday, January 21, at 1pm until 2pm service at Williams - Lobermeier - Boettcher. 3208 West 3rd St. Duluth, followed by luncheon.
