Elaine Paquette

Elaine Rosalind Paquette (Micke), 90, of Duluth, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 after living a rich and full life.  She was born in Cloquet, on February 14, 1931 to Theodore and Albena Micke.

After graduating from Cloquet High School in 1948, Elaine began her career with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. In 1962 she chose her most important calling, that of wife To Leon Paquette and becoming a mother.

Her strong faith was the key to her long, happy and fulfilled life. Elaine’s Family was most important to her and being able to care for her grandchildren in their early years brought her the most satisfaction.

Elaine was a passionate volunteer, giving countless hours to St. Jean’s Catholic School and Church, St. Lawrence Church, and all fundraisers that supported continual Catholic education.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon; siblings, Rod, Janet, and Thomas; aunt, Sister Marilyn Micke.

Elaine is survived by children, Jeanne (Kevin) Galazen, Jim (Linda Farrell), Barb (Mike Wicklund) and Jerome Paquette; grandchildren, Becky, Ian, Cassandra, Samantha, Tessa, Makenna, and Jameson; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Lilyana Galazen; sibling, Ted (Irene) Micke, Sister Pauline Micke OSB, JoAnn (Charles) O'Brien; numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, family and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7PM, with Rosary starting at 7PM, Thursday, April 22, 2021, visitation will continue from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial, in St Lawrence Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd, Duluth, MN 55811.
