Elna Linder

Elna B. Linder, 97, Duluth, died February 24, 2017, in St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born in Biwabik, MN, on August 26, 1919, to John and Alma Stockey. She was a 1939 graduate of Duluth Central High School and married Louis Linder on October 2, 1942, in Duluth. Elna worked in the Trust Dept. of the former Northern City Bank and at First Bank Duluth, retiring in 1983. She was a Charter member of Christ Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Mary Circle. Her passions included family, ceramics, crocheting, Tribune puzzles, and being a friend to all she knew. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters and husband Louis. Elna is survived by her children Linda (Larry)Gelo, Lee(Bette), grandchildren Jeff Gelo, Byron (Stephanie) Linder, Loren (Brian) Savage and Beth Linder and special cousin Ed Carlson, Jr. Visitation Thursday 5-7PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign St., Duluth, and continues Friday from 10AM until the 11AM Funeral service at the church. Burial at Sunrise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Christ Lutheran Church. Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
