Emma Jean Malmquist

Emma Jean Malmquist, 17, of Twig, died Sunday, May 19, 2024 with family by her side. She died as a result of an ATV accident. Emma was born in Duluth on October 29, 2006 to Jamie and Maria (Massingill) Malmquist. Emma grew up in Twig, attended St. Raphael Catholic Church and  was currently a sophomore at the Area Learning Center. Emma was a fun, loving, spitfire, and a spunky teenager. She was a great babysitter, loved all animals, especially horses and her cat. She enjoyed hanging out with friends, four-wheeling and mudding. She was preceded in death by her father, Jamie; great-grandparents, Doris and Stanford Malmquist, Robert and Jeanne Hansen, Charles and Darlene Massingill. Emma is survived by her mother, Maria Malmquist; a brother, Andrew Malmquist; a half sister, Aubry Lucia; grandparents, Charlene and Pete Moser, Norm and Doreen Malmquist, Vicki Hart and Russell Frear; great-grandparents, Sharon Hart and Sam Bonnelli; uncles, Chris and Matthew Moser, Michael Malmquist and Hunter Frear; aunts, Alayna Hester, Kaylie Moser, Theresa Moser, Rachelle (Travis) Lowen and Marissa Malmquist;   many cousins and friends.

Visitation 9:30 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Road. Rev Fr Jim Bissonette officiating.
