Eve Rose Francisco (Schaff) of Duluth, MN formally of Glen Ullin, ND, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Elysian Senior Homes of Duluth.
Eve was born on May 11, 1927 to Adam & Veronica (Emter) Schaff in Glen Ullin, ND.
She was united in marriage to Michael T. Francisco on November 30, 1946 at St. James Catholic Church Duluth, MN.
Eve grew up on the family farm in North Dakota with her Parents and 11 Siblings. She graduated 8th grade in Glen Ullin, ND. She later took a train to Duluth, MN. Where she met her husband, Mike Francisco. She worked at the family-owned bakery, “Francisco’s Bakery” on Central Avenue with her husband Mike and his brother Joe and Wife Mary along with her sister in law Angie Wiita. She also worked at Magnolia Bridal Shoppe as a seamstress and a clerk at Lion Drug.
She enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Torchlight Lake. Her passion was her flower and vegetable garden that was even featured in the Duluth News Tribune Newspaper. Another of her favorite things was to can fruit and vegetables along with homemade jams. She did a lot of sewing for herself and others.
She was a very devoted Catholic and was a parishioner of St. James Catholic Church for over 70 plus years where she also was a big part of the St. Margaret’s Guild.
She is survived by her three sons, Bob (Marijo Duffy Francisco) Cloquet, MN/TN , Ron Proctor, MN (Bev Carlson), Terry (Laurie) Sturgeon Lake, MN; grandchildren, Kara (Scott) Staples Cloquet, MN, Katy (Brad Riddle) Manchester TN, Mike Francisco Proctor, MN, Christine (David Heinen) Plymouth, MN, Nathan Francisco (Katlyn Stoinski) Barnum, MN, Nicholas Francisco Sturgeon Lake, MN; great-grandchildren, Haley & Kate Staples, Karsyn & Clay Riddle; brothers, Dominic (Cindy) Schaff ND; and sister-in-law, Sally Schaff, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Mike Francisco 2003; brothers, Andrew, Leo, Matt, Larry and Mike; sisters, Ann, Margaret, Florentine, Betty, Rose; daughter-in-law, Paula Francisco.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home, Duluth, MN with a Visitation beginning at 10am. Burial at Oneota Cemetery.
