Florence Lucille Jeannette, 93, formerly of Hunters Park, died Friday, October 19, 2012 in Diamond Willow's-Arbor Rose. She was born in Duluth on December 3, 1918 to Andrew and Anna Olson. She was a 1936 graduate of Denfeld High School and attended the State Teacher's College. Florence was an Ad and Commercial Artist for department stores in Duluth and was advertising manager for Freimuth's and Oreck's. She was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church and its Giving Forest Retreat Center. She enjoyed working with water colors and has many wonderful pieces of art that she created over the years. Golf was a passion for Florence, playing at Ridgeview, Lester Park, getting a hole-in-one at Pike Lake and participating with the Senior Olympics. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Albert Olson and three husbands, Gordon Martinson, Earl Bilger and Joe Jeannette Sr. Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Pizzano of Florida and Vermont, and Merelyn Anderson of Palos Verdes, Calif; a brother, Roger (Janet) Olson of Duluth; many stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family thanks the staff at Diamond Willow-Arbor Rose for their wonderful care. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, October 25, 2012 in Lakeside Presbyterian Church. Rev Kari Jutila officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
