Franciszek “Frank” Falender, age 93, Duluth, died Sunday March 25, 2018 at Essentia, St, Marys, Duluth, surrounded by his family. He was born in Wielun, Poland on September 9, 1924. Frank married Kazimiera Chmielowska on November 26, 1946 and the couple emigrated to the United States in 1951. He had worked as a meat cutter for the Elliott Packing Co. Frank was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Polish National Alliance. He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers. Frank is survived by his daughters Alicia(Robert)Kangas, Duluth, and Irene(Bruce)Olson, Duluth, grandchildren Capt. Matthew Kangas, Craig and Stephanie Olson and many relatives in Poland including his brother Stanislaw. Visitation 5-7PM with Rosary at 6:30PM Tuesday March 27, 2018 all at Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home. Visitation continues from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday March 28 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W 3rd St., Duluth. Burial at Polish Catholic Cemetery.
