George "Skip" Graves Kirk, 75, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Solvay Hospice House. He was born March 15, 1941 in Duluth, Minn. to Josephine (Facchin) and Harold Kirk. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran and worked as a longshoreman and later for Clyde Iron and DEMCO. Skip had a heart of gold, always putting others before himself. He was a talented artist and an avid pool and dart player. He loved fishing and watching his grandkids play sports. He enjoyed dancing and going to the casino. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Terry Kirk; a sister Joan Horbal; a grandson Issac Radig. Skip is survived by his loving wife, LaRae (Zomerfelt); four daughters Mary Jo Kirk, Shelly Rowell, Lynn (Scott) Severson, and Lori (Nick Radig) Anderson; two sons, Tommy Kirk and Mike (Monica) Anderson; twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: Sunday, October 16th 1-3 pm with a Time of Sharing at 2 pm at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home, 3208 W 3rd St.
