Gertrude Pearson

Gertrude Pearson, age 86, Duluth, loving wife and mother, died December 19, 2013 at Benedictine Health Center. She was born in Duluth on March 15, 1927 to Boleslaus "William" and Sallie Kostrzewski and was a 1944 graduate of St. Jean de Baptiste High School. Gert married Evert Pearson in Duluth on September 21, 1963. She had worked as a secretary at Cutler-Magner and UMD. Gert was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church serving as a lector and treasurer of it's Altar and Rosary Society. She also was active in Duluth bowling and golf leagues and volunteered at the Miller Dwan Hospital cafeteria and gift shop. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband ,brother Albert Caskey and son in law Charles Orville. Gert is survived by her daughter Diane Orville, Duluth, brother Leonard Caskey, Duluth, sister in law Carolyn Caskey, Las Vegas, NV, 6 nieces, 5 nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday 5-7PM with rosary recitation 6:30PM, all at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W. 3rd St., Duluth. Visitation continues from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial Friday at Holy Family. Burial at Bethany Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home.
