Jean Marie Charbonneau, 57, died peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, April 15, 2013 in her home after a brave 13 month battle with cancer. Jean was born February 7, 1956, in Duluth to Theodore and Beatrice Wotczak. She was a 1974 graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School and received her teaching degree from the College of Saint Scholastica in 1978. Jean married Jim Charbonneau in 1979. She taught at St. James School for 31 years and touched the lives of many students and families. Jean was a very kind hearted and patient wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt and teacher. She was an avid sports fan that rarely missed watching her beloved Twins and Vikings. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill Wotczak. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jim; son Tim Charbonneau (Jenny Flake); daughters Jill (Jimmy) Rodberg and Molly Charbonneau; grandchildren Libby and Ben Rodberg; brothers Dick (Mick) and Ken (Joanne); sisters Eileen (Don) Bergman and Mary Patton (Ron Cuperus); sister-in-law Yvonne Wotczak and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Thursday, April 18, 2013, 5-7 PM with wake service at 7PM all at Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home, 3208 W 3rd St., Duluth, and continuing from 10 a.m. until the the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, April 19 in St. James Catholic Church, 721 N 57th Ave W. Burial will be at Oneota Cemetery.
