Jeremy Ian Carlson, a beloved husband, father, son and brother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. He was born on August 15th, 1979, in Cloquet, Minnesota.
Jeremy graduated from Central High School in 1997 and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth for two years. He built a successful career in the tech industry, working for GDI and Advanstar before joining HCL Technologies in 2008. His dedication and leadership led to his promotion to Operations Manager in 2023.
Jeremy was an avid sports fan, never missing a Vikings or Twins game, and shared his love of UMD Bulldogs hockey with his family. He cherished the outdoors, especially his trips to the Boundary Waters with close friends. When not traveling for work, Jeremy could often be found enjoying Canal Park or Park Point with his kids and two beloved dogs, Abby and Bailey. Above all, Jeremy was a devoted husband to Amy and a loving father to Ian and Morganna.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Amy; children, Ian and Morganna; parents, Randy and Esther Carlson; mother-in-law, Judy Spehar; siblings, Mike (Michelle) Carlson and Shannon (Matt) Lewellen; brother-in-law, Scott (Ketti) Spehar; sister-in-law, Sarah (Tim) Solomon; and twelve nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerome and Viola Zierden, Don and Carol Carlson, Ellen Huttel, and Robert Huttel, as well as his father-in-law, Mike Spehar.
Friends and family are invited to join in a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 27th, at Mont du Lac Resort from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The service will be held at the hilltop chalet from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by a reception.
