Joann Jacobson

Joann C. Jacobson, 85, of Duluth, died Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Heritage Haven from Alzheimer’s. She was born on August 19, 1935 to Stanley and Agnes Tendrup at home in Milltown, WI. She attended a one room school house until the age of nine, when she moved in with her aunt and uncle, Pat and Johnny in Luck, WI. She graduated Milltown High School in 1953 as Salutatorian. Joann married Wayne Jacobson on her birthday in 1956 and raised three daughters. She was a CNA  at the Frederic,WI Hospital and worked as a cook for ISD 709. In retirement, she returned to the farm in Luck to help Wayne grow numerous vegetables. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; parents; aunt and uncle; sisters, Betty, Jean and Ruth. Joann is survived by three daughters, Barb (Mark) Dryke, Carol Jacobson (Dave Opack) and Janice (Scott) Swenson, all of Duluth; four grandchildren, Keely (Andy) Drange, Jacob (Angie) Swenson, Jordyn (Travis) Allen and Derek (Allie) Swenson; great-grandsons, Michael, James, Ryan and Tanner; great-granddaughters, Allie, Evelyn, Annabelle and Reese; great-great-grandson, Major; sisters, Shirley (Jack) Lee, Heidi Tendrup and Sandy (Jerry) Hardina; a brother, Butch (Debbie) Tendrup. Private family services will be held. Burial in Milltown Cemetery, Milltown, WI. Memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
