June LaFlamme

June C. LaFlamme, 87, of Duluth, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Duluth on June 21, 1926 to Adolf and Julia Hellgren. She married Robert LaFlamme on July 13, 1946 and together they raised five children in Duluth. June was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, active in church circles and the Bethany Lutheran's Sunshine Club. She was a member of the Lakeside Chapter of AARP and the Cotton Senior's Group. Along with her husband Robert, June sang in Svenska SangA�rna (Swedish Singers). June loved the outdoors, spending time at the cabin, taking pontoon rides around Thompson Lake and babysitting her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Art and Carl Hellgren and Margaret Anderson, and her husband, Robert in 2012. June is survived by her daughters, Norma LaFlamme, Lora (Dennis) Remer, Julie (Chris) Maddy, Yvonne (Allen) Birchland, and a son, Steven (Juli) LaFlamme; grandchildren, Jeremy Remer of Shanghai, China, Michele (Scott) Littfin of Bloomer, Wis., Jason Remer of Dallas, Texas, Colton Maddy and Nathan Maddy of Duluth, Alyssa LaFlamme and Jessica LaFlamme, of Moorhead, Minn., and great-granddaughter, Shanna Littfin of Bloomer, Wis. June's family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. David Arvold and June's caregivers at St. Luke's Hospital.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 3, 2013 in Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home and continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday in Bethany Lutheran Church. 2308 W 3rd St. Burial in Oneota Cemetery.
