June H. Peterson

June H. Peterson, 102, of Duluth passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at Essentia Health. She was born on June 19, 1920 in Duluth to Anders and Othilie (Olson) Hanson. June was a graduate of Denfeld High School and married her Jr. High School sweetheart, James Elliott “Doc” Peterson in Duluth on August 27, 1943. June was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church of The Holy Trinity and its Rebecca Circle and now a member of Spirit of God Lutheran Church. She worked for the U. S. Air Force Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL in her younger years. She continued working as a secretary at the University of Chicago, Oreck’s Department Store in Duluth and JS Meier as a sales lady. June was active in the Eastern Star, Jobs Daughters, Shrine Women and the Duluth Saturday Night Dance Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. J. Elliott Peterson; a sister, Caryl Ann Rozell; brothers, Robert “Bob” Hanson and Maynard “Pete” Hanson; daughters, M. Christine Dudar and Tracy Priley. June is survived by her grandchildren, Anders (Tiffini) Priley, Peter (Francesca) Priley, Erik (Chelsie Evers) Priley and Marit (Adam) Zucchi; great-grandchildren, Beatrice and Elliott Priley and Atti and Hakon Zucchi; sons-in-law, Jerry Priley and Allan Dudar.  Visitation 10 am until the 11 am funeral service Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Spirit of God Lutheran Church. 2431 West 3rd Street.
