Karen M. Scott

Karen M. Scott, 90, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 18, 1934 in Cloquet, MN to Carl and Grace Howe. Karen graduated from Denfeld High School and worked as a secretary. She married Harold Scott Jr in 1955 and they started their family. Karen was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the former Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and making blankets for her grandchildren, cake decorating and playing Bingo on Sundays. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family, especially cooking and baking for all the holiday’s. 

She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Harold; a sister, Patricia Ibriks.

Karen is survived by her children, Michael Scott of Duluth, Kathy Sauter of Duluth, Linda Scott of Duluth, Juanita (Marty) Boder of Duluth, Sam (Sandy) Scott of Superior, WI and Melissa (Mike Jackson) Salo of Duluth; 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, September 12, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church. Burial in Oneota Cemetery. Karen’s funeral Mass will be live streamed starting 10 minutes prior to the service, visit https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057452890892.
