Linda Bard

Linda Diane (Wall) Bard, 67, of Duluth, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 after a 20 plus year battle with breast cancer.  Linda was born to Chester and Blanche Wall on November 10, 1951 in Elmhurst, IL.  Her family moved to Duluth when she was 3 years old.  She graduated from Central High School in Duluth in 1969. In 1973 she graduated from the College of St. Scholastica with a BA degree in Home Economics Education.  She met her future husband Roger and was married August 17, 1974.  Together they raised two children, Ryan and Laura.  In 2002 Linda graduated as a Registered Nurse.  She worked over 10 years as a RN Supervisor at the Benedictine Health Center. Linda thoroughly enjoyed life and was grateful for each day.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, knitting, sewing, reading and her vegetable garden.  She adored her children and 3 grandchildren.  She was a member of First Covenant Church and through the years taught Sunday School, was active in cradle roll, Covenant Women and the Fellowship Commission.  She is preceded in death by her parents Blanche and Chester Wall and grandson, Dylan DeSanto.  Linda is survived by her husband, Roger; a son, Ryan; a daughter Laura (Dustin) DeSanto; grandchildren, Felicity and Dominic; a sister, Pat (David) Mast.

Visitation 11 a.m. until the 12 noon funeral service Saturday, May 4, 2019 at First Covenant Church. 2101 West 2nd Street. Rev Josh Rude officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
