Lorna M. McLean, 89, of Duluth, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Duluth on August 29, 1930 to Louis and Frieda (Dieter) Nichols. Lorna married Richard McLean in Duluth on August 6, 1946. Lorna was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, enjoyed playing cribbage with the A.C.C., Yahtzee and bowling. Lorna was a stay at home mom for her children. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Fred Nichols. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Richard; a son, Dennis (Sarah); a daughter, Linda (Mark) Anthony; three brothers, Richard (Char) Nichols, Steve (Susan) Bowman and Rick (Debbie) Bowman; five grandchildren, Brett (Leah) McLean, Brian (Crystal) McLean, Lisa (John) Paitich, Rich (Pam) Selbak and Curt (Jennifer) Selbak; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews The family would like to extend its appreciation for the kindness and care received from the in-home hospice team from St. Luke’s Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Rachel Nelson and nurse, Jennifer Francisco and home care aide, Linda Campbell. Private family memorial services will be held. Inurnment will be at Oneota Cemetery.
