Louise H. Anderson

Louise H. Anderson, 94, of Duluth, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at her Edgewood Vista residence. Louise was born on April 27, 1929 in Duluth to Charles and Marie Peterson. Louise attended Duluth schools and was a 1947 graduate of Duluth Central High School. She married J. Wilbur Anderson on June 10, 1950 at the First Methodist Church. Louise was a supportive wife and loving mother to her family. She was a member of the First Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, Wesley United Methodist Church and a longtime member at Asbury United Methodist Church where she was active on the building committee, a trustee, and active in the circles and various committees. Louise was a member of the Trinity Chapter of the Eastern Star. After her children went to college, she started volunteering at St. Luke’s Hospital and remained a faithful volunteer for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur; four siblings and friends of many years.

Louise is survived by her children, Barbara (Steve) Kokotovich and Jim (Cindy Rasmussen) Anderson all of Duluth; three grandsons, Adam (Katie Clower) Kokotovich, Matthew (Cari) Kokotovich and Timothy (Brittany Leknes) Kokotovich; four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Abigail, Eliza and Henry Kokotovich; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the caring staff at Edgewood Vista Assisting Living and Memory Care, plus the compassionate team at Caring Edge Hospice.
