Margaret Winters

Margaret E. Winters, age 85, passed away June 21,2018. She was born on September 3, 1932 to Eli and Martha Anderson in Superior, WI. Margaret was a graduate of Superior Central High School, class of 1950. She attended UWS, graduated from Fairview Hospital School of X-Ray Technology, in Mpls, MN and worked as an X-ray technician in Duluth, MN. On Aug.3, 1957, Margaret married Daniel Winters. They made their home in Cloquet, MN for over twenty years, raised their family there, and were members of Zion Lutheran Church, where both Margaret and Dan enjoyed fellowship and the friendship of many. Margaret and Dan spent most their later years in Two Harbors, MN. Margaret was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and Past Worthy Matron, Superior Chapter O.E.S. She enjoyed the game of golf and also loved playing bridge with her friends in Cloquet, Duluth, and Two Harbors. She was an excellent homemaker and always took wonderful care of her family until she no longer was able to, due to her progressive dementia. Margaret was so proud of her five grandchildren, and took great pleasure in attending the many sporting, dancing, musical events that they were involved in over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel. She is survived by daughters Lisa (Greg) Kolodge, and Lori (Darren) Saari; grandsons Cameron, Conner, and Carson Kolodge and granddaughters Johannah and Lia Saari. Visitation will be from noon until the 1:00 Memorial Service on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1000 Washington Ave, Cloquet, MN 55720. Inurnment Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, WI.
