Marian Furlong

Marian E. Furlong, 95, formerly of Duluth, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Diamond Willow Misty Ivy in Proctor. She was born in Stanley, ND on September 6, 1917 to Oscar and Anna Larson. Marian and her husband, Louis were owners of Marian's Beauty Salon on 9th St and also at Snow White on Woodland Ave. Marian and Louis moved to Arizona in the late 1970's and Marian returned to Duluth ten years ago. She was an avid golfer and loved painting and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband and four siblings, Clifford, Willard and Wilton Larson and Agnes Jellesed. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Clareen Johnson of Duluth. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Nov 10, 2012 in Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
