Marilyn June Campetti, 88, formerly of West 3rd Street, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 in Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. She was born in Duluth on June 28, 1930 to Knute and Ivie Johnson. Marilyn was a Denfeld graduate and attended Vocational School in Duluth. She married Pasquale “Paskie” in Duluth on March 20, 1950. Marilyn was a former member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader for Troop #65 at the Lincoln Park Elementary School for many years. Marilyn was a founding member of the Lincoln Park Neighborhood Watch and Citizens Patrol, a member of the CB Radio Club AKA, “God Mother” and an active Foster Parent Program. Marilyn retired from Industrial Welder’s Supply where she was the office secretary. Her special gift was her artistic talent, from oil and water color paintings, drawing and making gifts for every holiday. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paskie; three sisters, Helen Peterson, Jean Heim and Margie Lesch; a brother, Robert Johnson and a niece, Becky Lesch. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Karon Campetti-Zetina; a sister, Carol Thomson; a sister-in-law, Lynn Johnson; grandchildren, Leopoldo Pasquale Zetina and Cara (Brian) Towers; three great-grandchildren, Kadin, Kaley and Kellen Towers; many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation 3 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Pastor Henry Noordzy officiating. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
