Marilyn J. Harty, 85, Hermantown, died Monday July 13, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born in Duluth on Jan. 3, 1930, to Arthur and Myrtle Archambeau. She was a 1947 graduate of Hermantown High School. Marilyn worked at the former Marshall-Wells prior to starting her family. She married Kenneth Harty on July 11, 1953. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family and friends and was prepared to greet everyone with a kind word, a sweet treat, and a hot cup of coffee. Marilyn was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and its Esther Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister Beverly Ruhanen. Marilyn is survived by her children Linnae (Dave) Bosley, Marlys (Jim) Olson and Jeff Harty; grandchildren Erin (Jim) Warlick; Brian and Kyle Bosley; Chelsea and Briana Olson; Kenyon and Alex Harty; three great-grandchildren Bridger, Najib and Zakai; brother-in-law Carl Ruhanen; niece Barb (Dan) Schlichting; and nephew Steve (Doreen) Ruhanen and their families. VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, July 20, in Salem Lutheran Church, 4715 Hermantown Road. Burial at Oneota Cemetery. Memorials to Salem Lutheran Church or Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, in care of the family, are preferred. Final arrangements entrusted to Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home.
