Mark Ide, age 67 from Hermantown, MN passed away in his home Nov. 1st, 2024. A beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Tara, son-in-law Benjamin and grandchildren Zoe, Zizi and Zion.
He was raised in Hermantown by his parents Russell and Arlene Ide in a busy household with six other siblings: Janet, Dianne, Ron, Steve, Corey and Brad. Mark was a good student who graduated from Hermantown High School and began his training and career as an electrician in Duluth. During that time, he met his wife Joan and they were soon married. Shortly after, their daughter Tara was born, and they moved to Colorado Springs. A couple of years later they moved back to Minnesota and settled in Hermantown where they lived for the rest of their lives. His wife Joan passed away in 2019 after 37 years of marriage.
Mark was known for his wit, friendly nature, carpentry and electrical skills and love for his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, golfing and being outdoors. Often, he was found in his garage engaged in house projects or woodworking and loved to watch jeopardy and play games. He was abundant in patience with his grandchildren and loved teaching them new things. Mark also travelled frequently to see his family in Texas and took trips with them whenever he could. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
