Mary Jones

Mary Frances (Summers) Jones, 88, of Duluth, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family and favorite pets. She was born in Duluth on September 2, 1927 to Daniel and Mary (Robinson) Summers. She graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral in 1946. She married George E. Jones, the love of her life, in Duluth on February 11, 1956. She followed her husband while he was in the service, upon retiring they returned to Duluth. Mary worked for the World Theatre, Kreske's 5 & 10, Miller's Cafeteria, Northshore Manufacturing and retired from St. Mary's Housekeeping. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Church, very strong in her faith and a prayer worrier. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, quilting and yard design. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Daniel and James; sister, Georgia Corley; daughter, Kathryn Jones; and her husband, George in 1994. She is survived by her son, Richard (Deb); her daughter, Lynn (Keith) Johnson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; cousins, and many good friends. Visitation 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept 5, 2015 at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
