Patrick Carmine Perfetti passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side after a 9 year courageous battle with cancer. He was born December, 21st 1948 to Guy and Mary Alice Perfetti of Duluth, MN.
Patrick graduated Denfeld High School in 1966. In 1969 he began his service in the United States Army Reserve, serving as the Tactical Communications Chief with the 367th Engineer Battalion. During his service he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant, received several letters of accommodation and was awarded Outstanding Soldier of the year 1973. A proud soldier, he ended his service in 1981. On April, 17th 1971 he married his loving wife of 45 years Karen Marie Perfetti (Caskey). Patrick worked 35 years as a loyal employee at Midwest Energy Resources Company, retiring in 2011 as Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, serving as a Trustee for many years and the Friars of St. Francis.
He lived an incredibly adventurous life. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend and brother. He traveled the world even while on chemotherapy. He sang, danced and was never afraid to be silly or to try new things. He enjoyed fishing, camping, repairing and restoring antique radios and volunteering at the gift shop at Miller-Dwan Medical Center with his special friend Judy.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 45 Years, Karen Marie Perfetti (Caskey) ; Children Christopher (Tina) Perfetti of Londonderry, NH Gina (Special friend Dave Seppo) Perfetti of Duluth, and Andrew (Becky Buchanan) Perfetti of Superior, WI. Granddaughter Abigail Rose Perfetti; three brothers Michael (Betti) Perfetti, Paul (Sara Glidden) Perfetti and Joseph Perfetti; sisters Margaret (Larry) Flood and Julie Perfetti; his buddies Guido (dog) and Fat Willy (cat); and extended family and friends.
A special thank you to family friend Fr. Tony Wroblewski, for all his love and support, Dr. Daniel Nikcevich, Essentia Health Cancer Center, the nurses at the Infusion Center, and Heather from the Essentia Health Hospice Team.
Visitation Tuesday 5-7PM, with Friars of St. Francis Rosary at 6:30PM, all at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W 3rd St., Duluth. Visitation continues from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at Holy Family. Inurnment Polish Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard. Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
