Robert Abrahamson

Robert D. "Bob" Abrahamson, 79, of Jennifer Circle in Hermantown, formerly of Piedmont Heights, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 in his residence. Bob was born on August 11, 1936 in Duluth to Leslie and Lenore (Hammerbeck) Abrahamson. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Duluth East High School. He married Marilyne Berntsen in Duluth on June 25, 1960. Bob was owner and operator of Abrahamson Construction and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Bob was a member of the Glen Avon Pee-Wee Hockey team and were the 1951 National Champions. He was preceded in death by his parents and a infant sister, Geraldine. He is survived by his wife, Marilyne; two daughters, Diane (Kerry) Juntunen of Hermantown and Cheryl Tucci of Duluth; a son, Jim (Deborah) of Hibbing; a sister, Joyce (Ralph) Taylor of Gladstone, MO; two brothers, Wallace (Carolyn) of Oak Park Heights, MN and Charles of Hoyt Lakes, MN; his aunt, Lorraine Saari of Superior, WI; eight grandchildren, Katie, Amanda, Sarah, Andrea, Derek, Benjamin, Tygen and Lorelei; a great-grandson, Kian. Visitation 11 a.m. until the 12 noon funeral service Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church. 410 North Arlington Ave. Entombment in Sunrise Cemetery. Memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
