Robert A, Loven

Robert A. Loven, 82, Proctor, died January 9, 2024 at Essentia Health, Duluth.  He was born in Grand Rapids on April 11, 1941 to  Andrew and Alice Loven, was raised in Wawina, and graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1959. Robert later served in the Army in the 101^st Airborne during the Korean War era.  He married Jean Allie on December 29, 1962, in Duluth, MN.  Robert was a machinist, working for Reach-All for many years .  He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting, gardening, agate picking, berry picking, cutting wood and making piles, rummage sales, and collecting old tools.  Robert was also a trap shooter in Proctor for many years.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Emma Loven in 2017.  He is survived by his wife, Jean, children, Cheryl (Keith) Johnson, Brian Loven, and Debbie Loven. Grandchildren, Nicole (David) Humes, and Alex Loven. Great-grandchildren, Lennox and Juniper Humes.  Services will be held at a later date.  Burial will be at Wawina Cemetery.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, MN for their care and support.   Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home.
