Ronald Fisher

January 4, 1938 — November 21, 2021

Ronald Michael Fisher of Duluth passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center. Born January 4, 1938 to Ernest and Agnes (Wimmer) Fisher of East Mauch Chunk, PA, he graduated from Leheighton High School and attended Albright College before working as a Printer in his father's print shop.  He moved to Minnesota where he worked first in Mankato and then in Duluth at the Duluth News Tribune until he retired.  He married Priscilla Chapman on September 12, 1970 and raised three children.  He was a lifetime member of the French Club and an active and devoted member of Holy Family (formerly St. Jean’s) Church.  He enjoyed reading, fishing, watching sports and listening to music.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents,  and his brother Vincent. He is survived by his children: Bronwyn (Mark) Bauer of Duluth, Ethan (Heather) Fisher of Duluth, and Jessica (Kevin) Saba of Belle Plaine, and his grandchildren: Jonah and Dalton Lipinski; Emily and Lauren Saba; and Ethan, Hannah, and Lillian Fisher; his sisters Carolyn (Mick) Scherer, Diane (Joe) Janis, and Phyllis (Stephen) Manser; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.  A special thanks to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and caretakers from St. Mary’s who went above and beyond their duty to make an impossible experience one that was filled with empathy, care, and love.  A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held for immediate family only on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W. 3rd St., Duluth. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. and will be open to extended family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church.  Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
