Rose Ann Johnson, 82, Duluth, died November 22, 2012 at Heritage Haven, Hermantown. She was born January 2, 1930 in Duluth to Michael and Esther Valentine. She married Stanley R. Johnson in Duluth on October 30, 1946. Rose Ann's career was in food service starting at the fountain at Snyder Drug Store for 14 years and continued at K-Mart, Gallaghers, and finally Montgomery Wards. She was a member and past president of the Pike Lake Senior Group and a member of the Hermantown Seniors. She was in the ceramics group at the West End Senior Center and loved crocheting and artwork. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant son William and son Robert, brother James and sister Rene Vos. She is survived by her children Stanley R. Jr. (Florace) of Duluth, Sharon (Timothy) Smith of Ramsey, MN, Betty "Betsy" (Roger) Hietala, Duluth, Richard(Brenda), of Hibbing, Christine (Gregory) Corbett of Blaine, MN, Janine (Randy) Hansen of Esko, MN, Michael(Christi) of Brighton, CO, sisters Eileen (Gerald) LaFreniere of Hibbing, Esther Ruuskanen of Duluth, Frances (Robert) Marvel of Saginaw, MN, Nellie (David) Peters of Minot, ND, Mary Davey of Hibbing, MN, Brothers, Michael (Gwendolyn), Two Harbors, Frank (Isabelle), Minneapolis, MN , John (Jackie) of Duluth. 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great -grandson, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation 10:30AM until the 11:30AM Funeral service Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church, Hermantown. Burial at Sunrise Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home.
