Ruth Boben

Ruth Elizabeth Boben, 90, of 103rd Ave West, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born on April 27, 1925 to Hugo and Pearl (Richart) Hansen in Duluth. She was a graduate of Central High School. She married Stanley V. Boben on October 13, 1951 in Duluth. Ruth worked for AT&T for over 25 years as a central office clerk. She was an active member at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church where she was always ready to lend a hand. She was a participating lifetime member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and also the Slovenian Women's Union. She enjoyed flower gardening and crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; sisters, Ione Asp and Thyra Rukavina; brothers, Wilbur and Kenneth Hansen. Ruth is survived by her children, Ronald J. (Margaret) of Orange, TX, Allen V of Duluth and Christopher J. (Debra) of Duluth; grandchildren, Gregory R (Sara), Matthew R (Sarah), Crystal L. Kirchner, Crystal L Boben and Christopher J. Jr; several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 610 99th Ave West. Fr Michael Garry officiating. Burial at Oneota Cemetery.
