Sharon Elizabeth Ruce

Sharon Elizabeth Ruce, 85, of Duluth, died Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in her residence. She was born on July 6, 1939 in Duluth to Alvin and Clarice (Daley) Anderson. Sharon was a 1957 graduate of Denfeld High School and married Wallace Ruce on June 5, 1959 in the Central Avenue United Methodist Church. She worked in the office at JC Penney’s for many years, retiring in 2002. Sharon was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society and enjoyed playing the piano. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Reggie Anderson and a sister, June Chase. Sharon is survived by her husband, Wally; two sons, Kevin (Bobbie) Ruce of Arlington, VA, and Steve Ruce of Duluth; a daughter, Cindy Ruce of Duluth; a grandson, Erik Ruce; a brother-in-law, Bob Chase of Duluth; a sister-in-law, Ann Anderson of Duluth; many nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Abby.

Visitation 10 am until the 11 am Celebration of Life service Monday, July 15, 2024 in Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Inurnment at Oneota Cemetery. Memorials to Hope United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
