Sharon Ann Thompson, 80, of Floodwood, MN, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 22, 2024. She was born on May 14, 1943 in Grand Rapids, MN to Floyd and Dorothy Boettcher and was the youngest of three. Sharon married Bob Thompson on September 17, 1966 in Grand Rapids, MN. She worked at various restaurants, retiring from The Savanna Portage. Sharon was co-founder of the Floodwood Catfish Days Festival and served as a St. Louis County election judge. She enjoyed hanging out with the “Coffee Club”, playing cards, listening to old country music and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; sister, Bette Juusola; brother, Floyd Boettcher Jr; nephew, Steven Juusola; a great-granddaughter, Lillaina; beloved pets, Belle and Hunter. Sharon is survived by her children, Randy Boettcher, Todd (Michele) Thompson, Angel (Gary) Thompson and Missy (Rollyn) Rediske; sister-in-law, Pat Thompson; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; cat, Sassy; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A special thank you to the St. Croix Hospice team, nephew, Mark Boettcher, great-niece, Billie Jo Stokke, grandson, Troy Thompson, and her extended family.
