Thomas David Patnaude, 82, of Duluth, died Saturday, November 7, 2020. Tom was born in the Webber Hospital in West Duluth on September 17, 1938. His parents were Mark and Victoria (Royer) Patnaude. Tom was a graduate of Denfeld High School and served in the Minnesota Air National Guard from 1955 to 1963. He was employed by Moline Bakery for over 47 years. He was active in the Machinist Union and president for eight years. Tom married Margaret Reisinger on June 3, 1961 and together they raised four children. Tom was active in the children’s activities, Head Start, youth hockey, Cub Scouts, girl’s broomball and softball. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Daniel, Helen Anderson, Irene Resberg, Katherine Holmgren and their spouses; also a son-in-law, Stan Kahn. Tom is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, David (Paulette); daughters, Laura Young, Gwen Kahn and Mary (Darian Pionk) Patnaude; grandchildren, Emily Jane Grills (Jake Coughlin), Kayla Grills, Tisha Patnaude and Matthew Patnaude; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Wyatt; brothers, Jerry and Bob (Sharon) Patnaude; sister, Carol (Jack) Paquette; He leaves behind many relatives and friends. A special thanks to Dr. James Donovan, St. Luke’s ICU and Hospice staff and Dr. Silva-Benedict and the Cancer Center. Visitation 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, November 16, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church. 721 North 57th Ave West. Rev Fr Richard Kunst officiating. Burial at Oneota Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard. Due to Covid-19, masks and social distancing will be required.
