Vera A. Lick of Duluth died April 15, 2015, at Evergreen Knoll in Cloquet. She was 96. Vera was born in Superior, Wis., March 23, 1919, to Julius and Hulda Olson. She was a graduate of Willow River High School and teachers college. On May 6, 1939, she married Albert Lick of Hinckley, Minn., where the couple lived until 1954, when they moved to Duluth. Until her retirement in 1981, Vera worked for the State of Minnesota in the Duluth Unemployment Office. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Duluth, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing cards and especially polka dancing with her husband, but her greatest joy in life was her family. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and her sister, LuVanne Privette. She is survived by her children David (Mary Ann) of Hermantown, Judy (Michael) Nordstrom of Greeley, Colo., June (Jim) Kilburn of Westcliffe, Colo., and Deb (Ed) Ruhnke of Duluth; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and younger sister Betty Thompson. VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Entombment at Sunrise Cemetery.
