Violet Rusch

Violet R. Rusch, age 88, Duluth, died peacefully December 15, 2016, at her home. She was born in Duluth on December 20, 1927 to John and Frances Sjoka. Violet was a 1945 graduate of Denfeld High School and had worked for Garon Knitting Mills and the Duluth School District. She was a member of the former Wesley United Methodist Church. She was an avid sports fan playing volleyball into her 70's as well as not missing a sporting event that her Grandchildren were participating in. She is preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson who she is now holding on her lap, Michael Ziegler Jr. She wil be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years Richard, daughter Patty(Dennis)Johnson, Duluth, son Robert Stanford Jr., grandchildren Michael Ziegler Sr., Joshua Johnson and Alexis Johnson, all of Superior, brothers Jack, Duluth, Leonard, Mt. Iron, MN and Raymond(Janice), of Duluth . As per Violets' wishes there will be no service. Memorials preferred to Northwoods Childrens Services. The family would like to thank Jennifer & Valerie from St. Luke's Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
